Local’s List
Planning a proposal? Ceremony? Just popping by the Jersey Shore?
We were born and bread in Cape May, NJ. Allow us to share our island ways with you.
Here’s our list of friends, favorite vendors, locations, and more…
Hometown hero, Michel is not only the island’s most established baker but a retired local fire fighter. His cakes are beautiful, delicious and customized for your day!
❋ Chez Michel
If it’s forever that you seek why not make it permanent? I personally like to double down and do rings and tattoos and this is my favorite place for ink. Women owned and operated, these local babes were my childhood neighbors and are endlessly talented.
❋ Perigee Moon - Tattoo
❋ The Chalfonte Hotel - Venue- Eat & Drink-Stay
Great for hosting weddings, able to accommodate both ceremony and stays for larger parties and blocks from the beach and town. They also have live music all year round and my favorite bar in town, The King Eddy. Relax on the porch post party. Sometimes I just book a room for a staycation and slink downstairs to lounge on the porch off season. Its old bones get me.
Amanda, designer and owner, is has flower genius and adds that something extra to your day. She can dream up arrangements for small elopements or the full works for lager weddings. She also does pop ups through out the year for bouquets.
❋ Wild and Craft Floral -Flowers
Is so much more than a cafe, hosting pop ups and gifts all while serving the best sandwiches in town. It’s our communal gathering space. Right on the beach front be sure to grab lunch and peep their snack selection.
❋ Wild Roots - Eats
Liz is a true professional and best wedding photographer on the East Coast! She also does proposals and other events. She really brings out the best side of you in front of her camera all while making it a fun experience. She’s a wedding pro and makes every guest feel seen, and well documented!
❋ Elizebeth Unruh Studio - Photo
Lindsay’s brick and mortar has been around for 10 years now! And has been bringing us the best curated clothes, accessories, gifts, and more. The book selection is on point especially if you forgot something for the beach or train ride. Be sure to peep the latest Tf rings in there as well, the jewelry selection at large is the best in town.
❋ Givens - Shop
Favorite bar and restaurant in town, best cocktails for sure. Blocks from the beach. Also host to live music all year round.
❋ Cricket Club - Eat & Drink
Looking for something more outside of the box? Tina’s eye for angles and light will capture the moment in ways beyond what us mere mortals can imagine. Plus she’s a gem to work with.
❋ Christina Adams - Photo
The Ostara’s crew has cultivated my favorite coffee house vibe and its my preferred place to escape and espresso. Great breakfast sandwiches and book selection also. Hit them up pre beach!
